Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Hotel Group Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and managing revenue through the sale of hotel services, including rooms, event spaces, catering, and other facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, and a passion for exceeding sales targets while building and maintaining relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive hotel occupancy and revenue growth.
- Identify and target new business opportunities through proactive sales efforts, including cold calling, networking, and industry events.
- Regularly assess the competitive landscape and adjust strategies to stay ahead in the market.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Respond to inquiries and provide tailored proposals for clients, ensuring their needs are met while maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Develop and deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients, highlighting the hotels offerings and advantages.
- Event & Meeting Sales:
- Work closely with the event coordination team to sell meeting spaces, banquets, conferences, and special events.
- Negotiate and close contracts for group bookings, events, and special promotions.
- Provide excellent customer service from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Revenue & Performance Tracking:
- Monitor sales performance against targets and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to ensure the hotel remains competitive and profitable.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (operations, marketing, reservations) to ensure seamless delivery of services and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in sales meetings and training programs to stay current with industry trends and internal initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, services, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems effectively.
