The gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, Grand Wailea, is looking for an Account Director, Leisure to join the Sales Team!
Located on 40 acres of lush tropical gardens, this Forbes 4-Star, AAA 4-Diamond property is consistently ranked among the world's best resorts with 780 rooms, 100,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets. This includes 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a cafe, and in-room dining.
In this role, you will be focused on the wholesale and consortia markets.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years leisure sales experience, and it would be beneficial to have client knowledge, Island knowledge, previous Maui experience, consortia and luxury experience. Delphi FDC experience also a plus.

What will I be doing?
As an Account Director, Leisure you will be responsible for researching, developing and soliciting new FIT and Group Tour business while maintaining relationships with current accounts. Specifically, this includes but is not limited to:
- Travel outside of the office to meet with customers and prospective customers to develop business, make proposals, negotiate contracts, maintain contacts, conduct site inspections and close deals.
- Consistently meet with and entertain customers, conduct property tours, participate in tradeshows and industry and community events to promote facilities and services.
- Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff.
What are we looking for?
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Hotel Sales, Catering or Marketing Experience
- Leadership management Experience
- Ability to travel
- Experience in hotel management, or related industry, essential
- Highly professional presentations and communication (oral and written) skills
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform critical analysis
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Four-year college degree preferred
- Adaptable experience with business strategy, business planning, and business plan development
- Ability to speak multiple languages
- Multiple Brand experience
