Coffee Break and Banquet Food Server - Capital Hilton

Capital Hilton is looking for their next Coffee Break and Banquet Food Server to join the Banquets team. The Capital Hilton is in the heart of the nation’s capital, less than a mile from McPherson Sq metro station and two miles from the National Mall, Georgetown and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.

The ideal candidate will hold comparable experience in banquets as a food server and have full availability to work the ever-changing schedule of hospitality. This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to grow in their hospitality career.

Shift Pattern: Flexibility with schedules, weekdays, weekends and holidays. AM and PM shifts, as early as 5AM and ending as late as 11PM.

Pay Rate: $15.31 per hour, plus tips

What will I be doing?

As a Coffee Break Banquet Food Server, you would be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Set banquet tables to meet function specifications
• Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments
• Ensure menu knowledge
• Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
