Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Director of Food & Beverage to oversee this gorgeous Chicago property!

Located one block from Chicago’s Magnificent Mile in the stylish Gold Coast neighborhood, this 60 story award winning hotel has 214 rooms, over 8,000 square feet of meeting space, and two dining establishments.

The ideal candidate for this exciting role will be an inspirational leader with a passion for developing exceptional F&B programs, a talent for developing and training others, and thorough knowledge of industry trends. At least 3 years of experience as a Director of Food & Beverage with a background in luxury resorts is required.

What will I be doing?

As Director of Food & Beverage you will direct and organize the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.

  • Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.
  • Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
  • Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.
  • Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

 Salary Range: The annual salary for this role is $140,000 - $155,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
