The iconic Hilton Chicago Downtown is adding a new role to their team! The Director is looking for a Sales Liaison / Catering & Events Coordinator. This is a great entry level opportunity for someone that wants to learn and grow their career within Sales, Catering, and Events. The primary focus of this position is to assist Group, Business Travel, and Leisure Sales teams with on-property service and site inspections. Individual will directly support management team by facilitating site inspections, group customer walk-ins and other customer needs while on property.
Ideal candidate will have hotel industry experience, extremely organized, able to multi-task, and a passion for customer service.
What will I be doing?
Specifically, you will:
- Serve as primary liaison between Sales department and hotel departments
- Attend property meetings to ensure open and timely communication is maintained between hotel and Sales teams
- Review and report on Sales productivity highlights on a regular basis
- Coordinate on-property site inspections for Sales Managers
- Become an expert of hotel meetings space, room setup types, room capacities, guest room types, food menus, and F&B outlets
- Facilitate site inspections and walk-in visits
- Coordinate and execute special request for customers and Sales managers, including VIP arrivals and amenities
- Support the Catering, Events, and Reservations teams in an administrative capacity
Pay Rate
The hourly rate range is $23.00 to $25.00 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location
