The Signia by Hilton Atlanta is looking for a passionate Sommelier to join their Food & Beverage team! Capolinea (Italian for "Terminus") is our signature fine-dining restaurant, with a menu spanning traditional Italian and contemporary American cuisines, including delectable handmade pastas, prime-cut steaks and tableside martini service. Ideal candidates for this position will have related Sommelier certifications, in addition to at least 3-5 years of leadership experience in an upscale restaurant setting. Luxury hotel experience preferred.
Shift Pattern: typical shifts are from 2pm-close or 3pm-close. Weekend/holiday availability required.

What will I be doing?
As a Sommelier, you would be responsible for recommending wines to guests using your thorough and current knowledge of wines. Additionally, as Floor Supervisor, you would be responsible for assisting with the management of the direction and administration of a restaurant in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Provide professional and current knowledge of wines to guests
- Recommend wines to accompany relevant dishes to patrons
- Describe and up-sell wines to provide excellent customer experience
- Suggest wines to accompany new menus in line with financial budget
- Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service
- Ensure accurate billing
- Strive to achieve departmental targets
- Serve Alcoholic/non-Alcoholic beverages in conjunction with licensing/liquor regulations for residents and non-residents
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
- Attend training provided by the hotel
