Embassy Suites Alexandria Old Town is looking for a Utility Maintenance/Painter to join our team!
This 288-room property is steps from bustling King Street. We're across from the King Street Metro Station, providing easy access to Downtown Washington, DC attractions. Waterfront amenities such as restaurants, bars, and water taxis are within a mile. Torpedo Factory Art Center and the George Washington Masonic Memorial are less than a 10-minute drive.
The ideal candidate for this role will have professional experience as a painter, experience completing wallpaper repairs, and general engineering knowledge.
Shift Pattern: 7:30am – 4:00pm, including weekends and holidays
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

What will I be doing?
As a Utility Maintenance/Painter, you would be responsible for completing property repairs at the hotel.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall-covered, stained, and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
- Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, applying spackle and plaster, mixing paint, matching paint, and using brushes, rollers, and spray-guns.
- Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces including, but not limited to, hanging vinyl paper, fabric, and foil wall coverings.
- Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, wood and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering.
- Manage related supply inventory.
