Our family owned and operated company is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team in the Nashville Location.
Position: Warehouse Manager
Description of role: the Warehouse Manager will oversee the day-to-day warehouse and weld shop operations to support warehouse performance including safety, inventory and continuous improvement plans for Himmel’s warehouse operations.
Basic Responsibilities:
- -Manage a warehouse team including Material Handlers, Welders and Drivers
- -Lead all warehouse operations in accordance with Himmel’s standards:
- Oversee receiving & shipping processes
- Coordinate and manage deliveries & driver
- Manage & Schedule work orders for welding & door fabrication team
- Maintain accurate inventory counts
- Customer pick up process
- -Maintain documentation and accurate records of warehouse activities including:
- Shop production (Billable hours vs. Payroll hours)
- Staffing and training needs
- Inventory management
- -Follow safety goals and guidelines for New Orleans locations and conduct frequent audits for weekly safety updates
- -Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to warehouse activities, personnel, and equipment
- -Support Inventory Manager to ensure inventory control, adjustments and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and forecasting
- -Possess basic computer skills with the ability to use typical office programs
- -Assist with organization and storage plans for shop consumables, tools & inventory in proper locations
- -Participating in training staff in the safe and proper use of equipment to ensure preservation of employees' safety and product value through Himmel’s warehouse operations
- -Maintaining awareness and knowledge of condition and location of fleet vehicles
- -Providing direct performance feedback, positive morale and behavior to model, and appropriate encouragement to direct warehouse staff, customers and branch team members
- -Must know how to operate a forklift.
