What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Hinckley Allen?
Hinckley Allen is seeking an experienced, Florida certified, trial paralegal with practical experience to join our team of attorneys representing construction clients in all facets of their businesses. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience working in all phases of complex litigation – from case inception through resolution, and must have experience attending, and assisting with, trials. Experience with litigation support tools/applications such as Relativity, CaseMap, LiveNote, and Trial Director is preferred. Degree or paralegal certificate is required.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating assembly of exhibits and appendices for court papers, witness sets, depositions, arbitrations and trials;
- Setting up and managing war rooms for trials and/or arbitrations;
- Preparing for and attending depositions, hearing, trials and arbitrations;
- Drafting routine correspondence, memoranda, subpoenas, summons and other legal documents for attorneys as requested;
Conducting factual or legal research; examining public records; monitoring legislative and administrative proceedings as assigned; locating witnesses; tracing documents and other physical evidence;
Communicating, interacting and coordinating with all members of the team, including partners, associates, Litigation Support, IT, administrative assistants and office services; and
Maintaining knowledge of all applicable procedural and court rules, proper docketing procedure, e-filing process and procedure, and e-discovery rules and process.

Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication, computer (including Microsoft Word and Excel), and problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills. Must also be highly motivated and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. Availability for overtime and flexibility for travel are required.
