What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Porter position at Hines Building Maintenance?
HBM is looking for a Day Porter to support an independent private school. This person will be responsible for upkeep of the campus during the day. We are looking for someone who can work independently and take charge of keeping the campus clean. The schedule is Monday to Thursday 930am to 6pm. Friday from 1230pm to 9pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect all contact points in assigned area.
- Cleaning and restocking restrooms
- Breaking down boxes received during the day.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Remove waste and empty trash.
- Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Indoor room set-up and outdoor event set-up/ tear down
During campus closer days the following tasks are required:
- Washing exterior windows and campus,
- Window cleaning
- Floor care including carpet cleaning, floor strip and wax - no experience required for this duity. Will be trained
- Paint touch up.

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):
- 3 years of janitorial, facilities, or related experience
- Ability to communicate with property staff and team members in a clear, professional manner.
- Ability to adhere to company safety protocols.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting and walking for long periods of time.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass federal background check.
Must complete immunization requirements including annual TB testing.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
