HBM is looking for a Maintenance Technician to help service an independent private school. We are looking for someone with some hard skills in maintenance but also someone who is willing to learn. The schedules available are 730am-4pm Monday-Friday and 730am - 4pm Tuesday through Saturday.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities and overseen by the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Tech I is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of client facilities, buildings, and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance of facilities.
- Some duties may include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, light electrical, safety and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.), and HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning.
- Ability to safely use power tools.
- Conduct all job duties in accordance with company safety protocols.
- Works collaboratively with building administrators and staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for all students and staff.

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance or similar duties.
- Ability to apply semi-skilled techniques and use the tools of one or more of these categories; carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, small equipment repairs
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Valid Driver License
- Able to drive company vehicle onsite
Preferred education and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hard skill experience in any of the following: plumbing, HVAC, vehicle maintenance, construction.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, pull, push 50 pounds.
Stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass federal background check and tuberculosis (TB) test.
Must maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with the company driving policy while employed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
