OVERVIEW:
As a Technical Proposal Writer with the Sales Operations Team at Hines, you'll play a vital role in supporting the growth and success of our company. In this role, you’ll work with a team of Sales Ops Analysists to support Hines Account Executives by preparing detailed, technical proposals and participating in our Client Focused RFP Rapid Response process. Your daily work will include positive and enjoyable contact with our strong clients & team members, contribution to sales growth, and the assurance that each proposal reflects Hines' expertise and innovative approach.
SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS:
- Sales Support: Collaborate with Hines Account Executives to review: overall goals for the year, quarter, or month; development and utilization of proposal documentation and tools to ensure delivery of accurate, high-quality proposal documents.
- Proposal Management: Oversee the preparation and submission of technical proposals to secure contracts and contribute to revenue growth while meeting Hines process requirements.
- Client Communication: Use Hines technology and messaging to enhance client satisfaction, reinforce our brand, and ensure consistent, positive communication.
- Process Enhancement: Help define and document sales and project management processes, contributing to overall efficiency and growth in coordination with our Leadership, Principals, and Sales teams.
SPECIAL WORK CONDITIONS:
Hybrid Work: This position allows for remote work, provided all client expectations are met, and communication with internal staff is maintained, after on-boarding and training is complete. Hines provides a hybrid work schedule based on position requirements and responsibilities.
Travel: Occasional travel to project sites, client facilities, and company meetings may be required, with overnight travel expected to be less than 10% of working time.
Field Work: Some work activities may be conducted in locations other than the primary operating location, primarily related to client meetings and project sites.
Flexibility: Be prepared to work beyond standard business hours as needed to ensure client needs are met and sales objectives are achieved.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or marketing.
- Sales Experience: Demonstrated track record of executing sales processes to meet revenue goals, with experience in sales support or operations roles.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams, conveying technical and business concepts clearly.
- Technology Proficiency: Competence in using CRM tools and sales software to manage client interactions and support proposal development.
- Adaptability: Ability to accept fluid project schedules and adjust priorities accordingly in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to collective success and supporting colleagues as needed.
