As a Construction Management Intern in Washington, D.C. with Hines, you will:
- Work with Project Manager to review cost, schedule, safety, quality, and completion of construction projects.
- Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and additional training in construction and development.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of progress reports, re-projections, and other documentation required for construction.
- Assist with development of project estimates, pricing, and schedules.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of schedules and budgets as needed for support of projects.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of cash flows and monthly billing.
- Assist in preparing and obtaining change orders for assigned projects.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of the health of a project.
- Bring potential project-related problems and possible solutions to the attention of the responsible party.
Minimum Requirements include:
- Students from construction management, civil engineering or building construction degrees will be considered.
- Technical foundation in construction.
- Self-starter, with the ability to be a team player and prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to job sites.
- Current Juniors and Seniors will be considered.
- Compensation: $25/hr
