Senior Manager, Strategic Finance

About the RoleWe are seeking an emerging leader to lead financial partnership with our research and development and clinical functions for our Strategic Finance team. You will spearhead advanced financial planning, budgeting, and reporting initiatives that positively impact our executive decision-making. Beyond forecasting and budgeting, you will be a trusted advisor to leadership on investment decisions around product innovations, AI initiatives, talent, and infrastructure, and on cost optimizations, ensuring we are maximizing return on investments. This is a cross-functional and strategic role, working closely with engineers, clinicians, data scientists and designers, in addition to senior leadership. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, digital health or broader healthcare experience, and comfort effectively interacting with and presenting to Senior Leadership. The candidate will work directly with various executive leaders including our CFO, CEO, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Medical Officer, VPs of Product and Design, and others.  Additionally, the candidate will initially have one direct report with the opportunity to add additional reports over time.What You'll AccomplishBusiness Partnering and Advisory : Partner with leadership to support product-driven growth, cost optimization and operational excellence. Develop analyses that measure ROI on prospective initiatives and performance of existing R&D initiatives. Recommend strategies that support positive financial outcomes and align with Hinge Health’s broader strategy.Forecasting : Develop comprehensive financial forecasts and budgets that align with, inform, and influence the R&D function’s and Hinge Health’s strategic objectives.Planning : Support and lead elements of annual and long range planning, collaborating with partners across Hinge Health and incorporating strategy into financial analysis and output.Reporting : Develop financial reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights for stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making at all levels.Hinge Health Hybrid ModelWe believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days / week.Basic Qualifications8 years of finance experience with a strong background in FP&A or Strategy & Operations at a public company or a late stage private company, and / or in investment banking, corporate development, consulting, or public accountingOrganized and detail-oriented individual who has the ability to multitask; an independent and flexible problem solver who can positively manage ambiguity while maintaining strong attention to detail and speedExceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; A good listener with outstanding influencing qualities and a natural consultative styleStrong sense of prioritization - someone who is able to execute on projects within prescribed timelines in an environment with competing demandsExtensive knowledge of Excel and G-Suite and strong financial modeling capabilitiesPreferred QualificationsFinance experience within digital health, Health Tech, and / or the broader healthcare industry late stage private or public companyExpertise in utilizing financial planning tools such as Adaptive Planning coupled with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)Strong knowledge of Corporate Finance and Accounting, including experience driving and supporting close activities and other financial operationsProficiency in managing large datasets with SQL and PythonCompensationThis position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
