As the Vice-President of Design you lead Product Design and User Research at Hinge Health, with responsibility for design of all consumer / member-facing assets across the product and marketing portfolio. You report to the Hinge Health Founder and CEO. Your peers are the Chief Technology Officer, VP of Product, and VP of Growth. You are a member of the Hinge Health R&D senior leadership team. You collaborate with the Senior Director of Brand & Creative on the Commercial marketing team. You contribute to product and consumer marketing through strong and deep design craft, inspirational design leadership, execution successes, and strong management of people across the entire Design organization. You are a key steward and contributor to the Hinge Health brand.

What You'll Accomplish
- CRAFT - Strong in the craft of consumer product design : You partner with product to create an ambitious and inspirational vision for the member experience. You lead at all levels in terms of rolling up your sleeves and creating great design yourself whenever necessary as well as providing inspiration and direction to designers on your team for them to multiply your impact, ensuring a bar of quality in line with other world-class consumer technology products. You bring insights and ideas to the product development process which drive more users to onboard and engage with Hinge Health products. You are a designer at heart and the designers on your team want to be a designer like you when they "grow up."
- LEADERSHIP - Lead, manage, and motivate teams : Builds and manages a team of designers and managers of designers who are creative, detail and execution oriented, and deliver magical experiences to members. Creates a creative, positive, and collaborative culture within the design team. Improves the effectiveness of the team over time.
- PROCESS - Create an engine of user centric innovation : Build the systems & processes that consistently produce user experiences which solve real problems, delight, and contribute to Hinge Health company goals.
- COLLABORATION - Cross-functional & leadership collaboration : Partner closely with the leaders of product, engineering, marketing, brand design, hardware, and commercial teams to design, develop, and ship products to members which are delightful and deliver results.
- CRAFT, LEADERSHIP, ATTENTION TO DETAIL - You're maniacal about delivering magical designs of the highest quality on every screen. You're comfortable with and proactive about looking at any and every product element, making innovative recommendations to make anything better which does not meet the highest quality standard. You enjoy working side by side with the CEO, CPO, and anyone in the company to make our products better.

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days / week.

Compensation
This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is 360K-450K, plus equity and benefits.
