Position Title : Elementary Substitute Teacher (Grade 4) Location : East Elementary Duration of Assignment : Undetermined Job Description : Hingham Public Schools seeks a highly-qualified, knowledgeable educator to join our community of teachers, learners and leaders. The candidate will be responsible for the daily duties of a classroom educator, working alongside their Grade 1 teammates and establishing relationships with their students / families. Qualifications : Education : Hold a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Education
- Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Elementary 1-6 or Early Childhood PreK-2
- Meets all state and federal guidelines in order to be fully licensed and highly qualified
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Ability to use technology effectively
- Current knowledge of implementation of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for the elementary grades Responsibilities :
- Creatively provide an interdisciplinary course of study that integrates reading, writing, and analytical skills development in alignment with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for core content areas
- Maintain a developmentally appropriate, child centered environment
- Provide an equitable and inclusive learning environment that is responsive to all learners and their families
- Partner with families to create strong two way communication
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues to positively contribute to the school culture.
