Senior Technical Product Manager (Fans & Landscape)
We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead our Ceiling Fan and Landscape product portfolios, delivering innovative, technology-forward solutions that transform spaces and experiences.
About the Role
In this exciting and collaborative role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to steer product development, strategy, and life cycle management. You will drive new product initiatives, enhance user experiences, and ensure flawless execution of product launches that exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out new product launches in coordination with Suppliers, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and other key stakeholders.
- E nsure effective communication and adherence to timelines for the development of technical products, aligning with company goals and customer objectives.
- Own the Life Cycle Management of Ceiling Fan and Landscape products, including creating product plans and design briefs.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis to support product management initiatives.
- Suggest product enhancements to improve user experience.
- Conduct competitive research, analyzing data to identify customer needs and market opportunities.
- Develop technical product training and training-related reference materials for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in training sales team, customer service, and external customers through video and in-person presentations as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing to create literature and support materials for both internal and external audiences.
- Provide Supply Chain/Operations with forecasts for new product releases.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with vendors to facilitate timely project completion and/or new products.
- Work with the Data team to maintain up-to-date specs and product content.
- May assist with assembly and installation of technical product-related samples.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field required.
- Related Work Experience Required: 5 years' experience as Product Manager required (if less than 5 years, prior project management and/or marketing work experience may be considered).
- 5 years' of working with technical products (electronics, mechanical knowledge, etc.).
Necessary Specialized Training, Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
- Experienced in researching similar markets, consumers' behavior, and marketing techniques and using data analysis to gain business intelligence to empower product decision-making and process/product improvements.
- Prior PLM experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
