Description
Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP has openings for 2 to 3 legal assistants. Candidates with three to five year’s experience are preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidates. Practice areas include litigation, estates and trusts, real estate and business. This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week) with benefits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence typed, hand written and dictated material.
- E-file and e-record legal documents with various courts and clerks.
- Maintain physical and electronic files including general organization.
- Maintain and track schedules, deadlines and calendars.
- Schedule meetings, conferences and closings.
- Manage travel arrangements.
- Enter, edit and/or finalize billable time.
- Respond to inquiries and requests for information under attorney direction.
- Provide other support as necessary.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong word processing skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Ability to handle and adjust effectively to competing deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism.
- Overtime as necessary.
