Hino is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, manufactures automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.
We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager- Internal Auditor, located in the corporate office in Novi, MI reporting directly to the Manager, Internal Audit. Responsible for leading and executing assigned audit and advisory activities under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager. Responsible for demonstrating skills in identifying and assessing process risks and controls; documenting business processes; identifying and evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of controls; and developing, executing, and documenting audit tests and workpapers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Obtain a broad understanding of HMM’s business, operations and processes to enable risk-based auditing.
- Evaluating the current SOX 404 / J-SOX testing plan to ensure completeness of controls to address financial reporting risks and appropriateness of test procedures including detailed tests of design, tests of effectiveness, and substantive testing
- Review internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Performing ad hoc projects as assigned to assist Internal Audit in analyzing HMM’s risk and control environment
- Establishing relationships with business leaders while conducting individual audits
- Identifying root causes, articulates their relevance, and provides meaningful recommendations
- Monitor and track the implementation of remediation activities
- Ability to travel 15% of the time
- Other duties as assigned
