Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.
We are currently seeking a Production Controls Engineer located in Mineral Wells / Williamstown, WV reporting directly to the AM, Production Services, Engineering. The individual designs, implements and maintains processes that increase productivity, by editing and supporting existing PLC and HMI applications. Assist in implementation of predictive maintenance plans. Identify and implement error proofing (Pokayoke) requirements throughout the production process. Programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers, robotics and other electronic equipment
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement and maintain processes that increase productivity
- Edit and support existing PLC and HMI applications
- Assist in implementation of predictive maintenance plans
- Identify and implement error proofing (Pokayoke) requirements throughout the production process
- Kaizen - analyze plant processes and continuously improve safety, quality and productivity
- Programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers, robotics and other electronic equipment
- Apply knowledge of electronic and instrumentation principles to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Support downtime events that impact production
- Interface with other departments on equipment modifications and design
- Interpret and implement specifications

Travel Requirements : 10-15% domestic and international travel to other plants, including Japan
