Job Description:
The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the logistics area and training team members on operational aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates production line machinery following standardized work instructions.
- Cross-trains in all processes and trains others in logistical methods.
- Ensures continuous process flow in absence of team members.
- Observes operators' techniques and ensures adherence to standardized work.
- Coaches continuous improvement and sets up job rotation according to supervisor's guidelines.
- Initiates Stop-Call-Wait for abnormal conditions and contacts supervisor for troubleshooting.
- Suggests ideas for process improvement and conducts visual inspections for quality standards.
- Maintains clean work areas according to 5Ss standards and operates within safety standards.
- Creates standard work instructions and completes time studies and ergonomic evaluations.
- Trains new team members and assigns work to ensure customer support.
- Performs duties of SV when absent or necessary.
Requirements:
- Flexibility to move between functions and support areas cross-functionally.
- Ability to track downtime and maintain quality charts and graphs.
- Ongoing duties as assigned by supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in production or quality control.
- Knowledge of 5Ss standards and safety protocols.
- Ability to create standard work instructions and complete time studies.
