Job Title: Team Lead
Location: Marion, Arkansas
Department: Production, Quality Control (QC), Production Control (PC), MRO, Paint and Stamping
Shifts: Day shifts: 5x8, 4x10, 2-2-3; Night shifts: 5x, 4x10, 2-2-3
Objective: The Production Team Lead will be responsible for training and supporting team members by providing expertise on the operational aspects of the logistics area. May step in and assist with any of the processes within the department in case of absence of a team member.
Reporting to: Production Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates production line machinery following standardized work Instructions.
- Cross-trains in all processes of the assigned department and trains and mentors other team members in logistical methods.
- Ensures continuous process flow in the absence of team members.
- Observes operators' techniques and ensures adherence to standardized work.
- Cvinces operators to develop their skills through continuous improvement.
- Sets up job rotation according to supervisor's guidelines.
- Initiates Stop-Call-Wait if abnormal conditions are detected to prevent flow out.
- Contact the supervisor to ensure appropriate troubleshooting in case of issues.
- Suggest ideas for continuous improvement of processes.
- Conducts visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Responsible for maintaining clean work areas according to 5S's standards.
- Operates within safety standards.
- Create standard work instructions and route instructions using Excel and/or standardized forms.
- Complete time studies for each process and ergonomic evaluations.
- Train new team members.
- Assign work to team members to support our customers.
- Performs duties of SV when absent or necessary.
- This job requires flexibility to move to other functions within lines or to support areas cross-functionally.
- Track downtime and maintain quality.
- Maintain charts and graphs up to date as required.
