Overview:
Hinsdale Water Polo Club is quickly growing and seeking Lead Coach candidates for our 12U, 14U, and 18U age group water polo teams.
Under the general supervision and support of the Director of Operations, Head Coach, and Team Administrator, the Lead Coach is responsible for all on deck activities. Coaches will be expected to conduct themselves in a prompt and professional manner to execute a water polo program aimed at teaching, developing, and improving upon athletes skills in the water.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Instruct and demonstrate appropriate water polo skills to participants.
- Coordinate and prepare water polo practice workouts.
- Enforce all rules and regulations as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Complete appropriate reports for individual participants before the end of each session.
- Maintain a high level of readiness and preparedness in handling any emergency situation.
- Maintain a proactive approach to safety and risk management.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Display professionalism with parents and participants.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills (i.e., professionally to participant and parent needs).
- Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns as needed.
- Demonstrate promptness and advanced preparation.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience coaching preferred.
Special Considerations:
- Ability to lift light to medium weight (20-50 lbs.) objects.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
