HintonBurdick CPAs & Advisors is the largest public account firm in Southern Utah with offices in St. George, Utah | Cedar City, Utah | Richfield, Utah | Mesquite, Nevada | and Mesa, Arizona. We are looking for hard-working, responsible individuals with experience payroll services who want to be part of a growing firm of experienced, intelligent professionals.
Payroll clerks provide consistent support to our clients. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for completing payroll for specific clients which includes:
- Enter, maintain, and/or process information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
- Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
- Provides General ledger import or journal entry creation for bank reconciliation issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks, or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final check requirements.
- Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
- Work efficiently at a fast pace while managing multiple projects or tasks.
Experience/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least six months of experience in payroll preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
