Job Description

Our faith-based, non-profit client is in search of a Full-Cycle Accountant to join their team! This individual will be responsible for supporting churches and affiliated faith-based organizations with quality accounting services. The primary responsibilities include managing contributions, A / R and A / P, and payroll. Additionally, the role involves producing accurate and timely bank reconciliations and financial statements for the assigned organizations.

Must be agreeable to company mission statement and values.
This is a hybrid role in the Littleton / Centennial area, Temp-To-Hire opportunity!

Salary range $48K to 60K DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

2-3 years in full cycle Accounting required

Contribution tracking and record keeping

Processing payroll and payroll tax reporting (Quick Books)

Accounts Payable / Receivable

Assist with Monthly / quarterly / yearly financial reporting and year-end contrition reporting

Update and manage general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations

Maintain records according to GAAP

Manage bank and investment accounts including reconciliation

Establish and maintain confidential financial files and records

Communicate proactively and clearly with customers and partners.

Respond promptly to requests from customers, leadership, and team members.

Collaborate effectively with teammates and the Accounting Director.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) :

2-3 years experience in full cycle Accounting

Experience with ministry-specific finance or non-profits required

QuickBooks Online proficiency required and certification is preferred

Communicates with effectiveness and savvy to internal and external partners

Demonstrates ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships

Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills

Track record of reliability, dependability, and conscientious work habits

Analytical with an aptitude for numbers

Ability to work independently with little supervision

Ability to organize and prioritize effectively

Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures

Ability to discern between routine matters and those requiring immediate attention

Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality and integrity

Computer literate with the ability to pick up new programs and applications quickly and easily

BA degree in a related field is a plus, or equivalent of education and / or experience will be considered

Preferred Skills :

Expertise and proficiency in GAAP

Computer literate with proficiency in Excel, Word, Pages, Keynote / PowerPoint, Web administration and scheduling
