Hire Connections is working with a nationally known financial services client in search of a Paralegal! This individual will play a crucial role with the Legal and Loan Processing department by conducting various legal, title, and other necessary research to assist attorneys and supervisors. You will assist in the preparation of documentation (legal, loan, and collateral), and reviews documents and data for accuracy and required compliance.
- This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in office
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist in drafting and reviewing basic legal, loan, and collateral documentation, correspondence and opinionsPerfects collateral according to state statutes and maintains perfection of collateral to include extensions, amendments, and continuations as neededOrders UCC lien searches for verification and determination of lien positionReviews, analyzes and organizes title commitments, abstracts, policies submitted to the department exception documents and other due diligence items, including but not limited to surveysRecommends title objections and title endorsements, and communicates objections and recommendations to the title company, collateral associates and transaction teams; manages resolution of title and other due diligence issuesObtains and reviews organizational documentsCompletes signatory authority reviews, prepares borrower and guarantor resolutions, performs follow up, tracking and maintenance of updated organizational documentsAssist in drafting, updating and maintaining standard loan documentation language and templates and mortgage templatesReviews collateral records and cross-references to documents to ensure accuracy of data and trackingMaintains and organizes legal files and legal electronic database, legal training materials and manualsAssists in research mortgage law to keep mortgage review binders currentAssist with drafting procedures and guidancePerforms legal research including but not limited to cite checking and summarizing research results and recommends appropriate course of actionAssist in performance of general corporate support functions as requiredPerforms custodial duties and audits for the note files and other specific types of personal property files held in recordsInputs and maintains tracking of collateral and insuranceEnsures compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to flood insuranceAdditional tasks as assignedQualifications :
3 years of paralegal experienceParalegal certificate preferred, but not requiredProficient in MS OfficeExperience using SalesforceMust be able to work independently and working in team environmentsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have collateral management compliance knowledgeMust have experience with lending, mortgage and UCC document reviewsUnderstands flood regulations and insurance requirementsCompany Description
