What are the responsibilities and job description for the E-Discovery Litigation Attorney: New York position at Hire Counsel?
We are working with a large, full-service, New York law firm representing a diverse range of clients across the country and around the world. The firm is looking for a junior associate with two to three (2-3) years of experience to manage and run e-discovery projects for its active litigation group. The role will encompass project management, document review, and litigation strategy responsibilities. The attorney hired will participate in case strategy and development, discovery, trial preparation, and trial work. Candidates must have strong Relativity, document review, and analytical skills, including extensive experience constructing Relativity searches and advising others concerning them. They must also be accomplished at liaising with e-discovery vendors and clients’ IT personnel. Candidates must work well with others and be capable of managing multiple assignments.
Two or more (2 ) years of experience doing e-discovery work at a law firm or e-discovery provider is preferred. A JD degree and either New York Bar Admission or the ability to waive into the New York Bar are required. The role is largely on-site with some flexibility for offsite work. It requires an in-person presence at the firm’s New York office for a minimum of three days per week. The compensation range for the position is $125k–$150k; but for highly qualified candidates with more experience, the firm is open to a range of $150k–$170k.
