Description
Premier client in the Mt. Giliad area looking for candidates with Sit Down Forklift experience in a manufacturing setting.
Hours : 1st Shift : Mon - Fri 7am - 3 : 30pm
2nd Shift : 6pm - 6am (Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule)
Pay : 1st Shift : $18.29
2nd Shift : $19.79
Sit Down Forklift Operator responsibilities include :
- Unload material from and prepare it for shipment or deliver it to the Sanding packaging area. Verify that it is labeled correctly.
- Perform quality checks
- Re-package finished pallets of material that are damaged or incorrectly packaged for shipment or delivery to another work center.
- Operate a battery powered banding tool.
- Lift and apply runners to empty pallets.
- Operate small board lifting device.
- Lift and apply cover boards to pallets.
- Sweep the floors and remove piles of swept up debris.
- Use an air wand to blow off machinery.
- Refill diesel powered lifts with fuel.
- Apply stretch wrap to finished pallets.
- Ensure wider or longer material is never staged on top of narrower or shorter material.
- Pick up any broken planks or cover boards that fall off of pallets.
- Read, understand, and follow packaging instructions for material being packaged.
- Assist in product changeovers, belt changes, and blade changes on the sanding line.
- Load and unload empty pallets on the book saw, sanding in-feed and grade bin
