What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Hire Dynamics?

Hire Dynamics is now hiring Material Handlers for temporary to full-time employment at a local distribution center. If you are looking for a team-oriented environment where good performance and attendance are rewarded and there are opportunities for advancement, then this may be the job for you!

Fast-paced, physical position that gets you up and moving. Work within one of the distribution center departments to fold, tag, apply hangers and package apparel to meet customer demands or utilize non-powered equipment to load / unload and transport materials between warehouse areas. Prefer six months material handling experience.

Shifts & Pay

Day Shift : Monday – Friday 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM ( $16.50 / hour )
Afternoon Shift : Monday – Friday 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM ( $17.50 / hour )
Evening Shift : Sunday – Thursday 10 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 AM ( $17.25 / hour)
Overtime is mandatory when need arises (could come in early, stay late, or work on the weekend)

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

High School diploma or equivalent

Must be 18 years or older

Attributes

A safety and compliance mindset

A positive attitude and willingness to work as a team

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently

Stand / walk for at least 8 hours a day

Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout the day

Must be able to speak, read, and understand English in order to receive instructions and communicate with team members

Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, safety warnings, and equipment operation

Vision is required in order to operate a radio-frequency keyboard and / or scanner and complete required data-entry
