Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting department by assisting with various accounting functions, including preparation of financial statements, general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end closing procedures. This role is ideal for individuals who have a solid foundation in accounting principles, are detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Month-End Close: Assist in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and other related tasks to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Tax Compliance: Help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax-related documents such as sales tax returns and other filings.
• Client Statements: Prepare monthly financial statements for clients, utilizing strong communication with our operations managers.
• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Revenue Reconciliation: Perform weekly revenue reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 1-5 years of accounting experience recommended.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
