About the Role
Hire Elevation Resources is recruiting on behalf of our client for and exciting leadership role. We are seeking a Director of Core Systems and Application Support to oversee the strategic management and daily operations of core financial systems and third-party applications. This leadership role is critical to maintaining and enhancing technology solutions that align with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and quality control of core systems (e.g., Symitar) and associated third-party applications.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of programmers and application support analysts.
- Administer system maintenance, security, and updates in a hosted environment, ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to implement and integrate software solutions, including loan origination and account opening platforms.
- Manage project prioritization and execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery.
- Evaluate technological advancements to recommend cost-effective improvements to enhance services and processes.
- Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and security measures for systems and applications.
- Lead system upgrades, data migrations, and integrations to ensure seamless operations.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing expert-level support and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of IT experience, including leadership roles in financial core system management and project execution.
- 5 years of experience with Symitar Core Systems, PowerOn programming, and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with system integration, data migration, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, APIs).
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI DSS, GLBA, and NACHA rules.
- Certifications such as Symitar Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
