Hire Elevation Resources Corporation is seeking a Network Systems Administrator for our client in downtown Knoxville, TN. This in-person role is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As a Network Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable, agile, and secure operation of our client’s IT infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing networked systems and services to support critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Network Management
- Design, implement, and maintain network storage and physical/virtualized environments.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure network security and compliance with company policies.
- Manage network hardware and software upgrades.
System Administration
- Build, configure, deploy, document, and maintain servers.
- Design, implement, and test BCDR (Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery) systems.
- Manage Active Directory domain services, policies, and objects.
- Oversee authentication, authorization, and access controls.
- Ensure system security and data integrity.
Technical Support
- Provide technical support to team members.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Train users on new technologies and best practices.
Project Management
- Plan and execute IT projects aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with departments to define and track project objectives.
- Work closely with vendors and service providers.
- Ensure project completion within budget and deadlines.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and implement remediations.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Keep documentation accurate and up to date.
What We're Looking For
✅ Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in network and systems administration.
- Strong expertise in network management and system administration tools.
- Experience with Active Directory and BCDR systems.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Linux (Red Hat)
- VMWare
- Storage/SAN solutions (IBM Flash Storage/NetApp)
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
