Position : PCU Travel Registered Nurse Location : Memphis, Tennessee Schedule : Night (3x12 Hours) 19 : 00 7 : 00 Unit : PCU Float What You'll Do : As a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for managing the care of patients who are transitioning from intensive care to a less intensive setting, as well as those requiring more monitoring than a general medical-surgical unit can provide. You will utilize your critical thinking and clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities : Patient Assessment : Continuously monitor and assess patients' conditions, recognizing signs of clinical deterioration, and intervening promptly. Care Planning : Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Medication Administration : Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and effectively, following established protocols and guidelines. Patient Education : Provide education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care plans. Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Documentation : Accurately document patient information, care plans, and responses to treatment in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
