In this role, you will play a crucial part in performing life-saving procedures and supporting interventional cardiology teams during cardiac catheterizations and other specialized cardiovascular procedures. Position : Cath Lab Technician Location : Memphis, Tennessee Schedule : Day 5x8-Hour ( 7 : 00 15 : 30 ) Duration : 13 Week Contract Unit : Radiology / Cardiology What You'll Do : As a Cath Lab Technician, you will be at the forefront of advanced cardiac care, working alongside top cardiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities : Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker implantation, and other interventional procedures. Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the Cath Lab, including setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies. Monitor and record patient vital signs, electrocardiogram (ECG) readings, and hemodynamic data during procedures. Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopes, to capture real-time images of the cardiovascular system. Administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Ensure proper functioning of Cath Lab equipment, performing routine checks and troubleshooting as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and equipment usage. Educate and support patients and their families, explaining procedures and providing post-procedure care instructions. Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
