Director of Quality Assurance
Location : Fort Worth, TX
Employment Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire
About the Role :
We are looking for a Director of Quality Assurance to lead food safety, compliance, and quality assurance across our manufacturing operations. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure our QA programs meet USDA, FDA, HACCP, BRC, FSMA, and GMP standards while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and execute quality strategies aligned with company goals
Oversee QA operations, compliance, and process improvements
Maintain and improve food safety programs (HACCP, BRC, FSMA, Kosher, Organic)
Lead internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory and customer compliance
Develop, track, and analyze quality KPIs to drive performance
Work collaboratively with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and R&D
Hire, train, and mentor QA team members to uphold food safety and quality standards
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Poultry Science, or related field
10 years of experience managing quality assurance programs in food manufacturing
Expertise in HACCP, BRC, FSMA, USDA, and FDA compliance
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work PM & AM shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Experience in continuous improvement, sanitation programs, and regulatory audits
