Machine Operator – HVAC Ductwork
Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced machine operator to join our manufacturing and production team. This role involves operating and maintaining spiral pipe machines and other tools to produce high-quality ductwork used in HVAC systems. The ideal candidate should have experience working with sheet metal, a strong mechanical aptitude, and an understanding of HVAC duct fabrication.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate spiral pipe machines to form sheet metal into round ductwork.
- Safely load and feed sheet metal into the machine.
- Adjust machine settings, including diameter, speed, and seam tightness, to meet job specifications.
- Inspect pipe diameter, seam integrity, and overall quality to ensure compliance with HVAC industry standards.
- Cut pipes to specified lengths and prepare them for additional fabrication (flanges, connectors, or insulation).
- Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Work closely with fabricators and production leadership to ensure timely production of HVAC ductwork.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all OSHA and company safety guidelines.
