LVN - Represa, CA
Currently, we are recruiting LVNs for long-term contracts at correctional facilities in the Sacramento area. If you have at least one full year of licensed LVN experience then we want to talk to you!
Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to individuals within the correctional facility.
Assess and address the healthcare needs of inmates, including monitoring vital signs and conducting routine health checks.
Medication
Administration:
Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to established protocols and ensuring accurate documentation of dosage and frequency.
Health Assessments:
Conduct health assessments to identify and address medical issues, collaborating with physicians as needed.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the correctional facility, providing immediate care and coordinating with the healthcare team.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, registered nurses, and mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Patient Education:
Educate inmates on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies to promote overall well-being.
Qualifications:
Current and valid LVN license in the state of CA.
Able to work AM, PM or NOC shifts.
BLS from the American Heart Association
Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A background check and drug screen will be required.
