We are seeking an experienced technical sales professional in the Gulf Coast region to expand the customer base for contract chemical blending and toll manufacturing services throughout North America. As a Senior Sales Executive, you will sell private label blending, chemical formulation, toll manufacturing, and contract packaging services for a wide variety of chemicals produced for end-use applications in commercial and industrial markets, such as water treatment, coatings, adhesives, agriculture, oilfields, fracking fluids, personal care, food, chemical intermediates, cleaners, etc. We are seeking the “best of the best” business development pros, where top producers earn $250-300K each year!
Essential Job Functions include:
- Identify and secure new short-term and long-term chemical blending or manufacturing contracts with OEMs and other chemical manufacturers throughout North America.
- Expand business within existing customer accounts and with previous historical customers.
- Develop and execute target account strategies to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Establish and cultivate customer relationships at multiple levels within the organization.
- Serve as an industry expert and technical adviser to prospects and existing clients.
- Utilize CRM database to log customer interactions and manage account information.
- Collaborate with Operations and Plant Manager to help evaluate customer requests and communicate production/system capabilities and limitations.
- Prepare and deliver superior sales presentations and proposals.
- Actively participate in relevant industry trade shows and conferences to expand the network.
- Ability to travel 40% or more (as needed) to drive new business growth.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 10 years of Sales or Business Development experience selling contract toll manufacturing, chemical blended, or private label blending and packaging services.
- Strong knowledge of a broad range of commercial and industrial markets and chemical applications, such as Specialty Chemicals, Coatings, Adhesives, Agriculture, Chemical Intermediates, Refining, Pulp & Paper, Water Treatment, Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals, Metal Finishing, Lubricants, Electronics, Food Additives & Flavorings, HI&I, Personal Care, etc.
- Existing relationships with key decision makers, and influencers with Senior Management, R&D, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain professionals within the chemical industry.
- Strong entrepreneurial drive with a clear and consistent track record of high sales achievements.
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using a CRM database such as Salesforce or a similar system.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Experience and comfort level with UNCAPPED leveraged commission structures.
- Ability and willingness to travel 40% overnight as needed.
