Position: Senior Data Engineer
Openings: 1
Duration: 6-month Contract to hire
Location: Coraopolis, PA – hybrid schedule (you choose what days)
Note: Due to ITAR requirements, they would need a Greencard Holder or US Citizen due to the nature of the data they will be accessing.
Must Haves: Snowflake experience and ability to write/preform complex SQL queries
- 7 years’ experience as a Data Engineer
- Bach Degree required
- Strong experience with Snowflake from a data engineering perspective
- Experience building out SQL queries
- Data starts out in Oracle – replicate it then move it into Snowflake
- Expected to handle complex SQL queries
- Experience/knowledge with Azure Data Factory
- Experience with Jira from an Agile tools perspective
- They are in a SAFe environment
- Experience for with Data Modeling in Power BI
- building out the data sets
- Experience working with the users to gather requirements
- Azure AZ 900 Fundamentals Certification or willing to take it
Plusses:
- Experience with OBIEE from an admin/support perspective
- Experience with QlikView from an admin/support perspective
- Experience with DataIQ
Day to Day:
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the team of one of our fortune 100 customers in the manufacturing domain. The qualified candidate will have demonstrated expertise in data engineering, modeling, and reporting. The team is moving out of a Cloudera, OBIEE, Qlikview ecosystem into a Snowflake, Azure, PowerBI solution while leveraging DataIQ platforms for modeling. The incumbent in this role will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements and identify potential use cases for reporting solutions, as well as lift and shift self service solutions from a legacy to modern technical environment. The qualified candidate will leverage their expertise in data engineering to model and deliver advanced reporting and data storage solutions for the business in support of multiple groups/domains inclusive of Aerospace, AMEA, HR, Legal, Sales, etc.
