Desired Skills and Experience *
-8-10 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role
-Coming from a smaller team where they were responsible for a wide array of DevOps activities
-Extensive hands-on experience/knowledge of CI/CD and pipelines/processes
-Strong Linux infrastructure background
-Azure Cert
-Scripting experience with either shell, bash, python or Golang
-Experience with release management or source code management using either GitLab, harness
-Hands-on, in-depth experience with Azure, Kubernetes (understands clusters,) terraform and docker containers

Candidate will be a joining a brand a new scrum team as the Senior Devops Engineer. They will be deploying a brand-new application which is being built in java onto OCP/Azure. They will be * responsible for the setup and maintenance of source code management tools, repositories, workflows and pipelines and automation of CI/CD processes with the applicable DevOps toolset. They will write deployment, configuration, provisioning, monitoring, and other scripts as needed in addition to the existing DevOps tools that are used. They will do the setup of application performance monitoring and alerting dashboards with the respective toolset, as well as automated health check of applications and services. They also will do the setup of security and other scans and integrate QA test suites for the deployed applications as a part of the CI/CD process. They will also need to implement solutions for disaster recovery, failover and resiliency of the applications and underlying infrastructure. They will work off of a jira board and need to understand their place on a scrum team.
