Our client is a leader in customized packaging, print, and display solutions with a global reach and an outstanding work culture! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Packaging Designer with a passion for structural design to develop creative and cost-effective consumer packaging and displays. You will be a great fit if you are an organized self-starter that can manage multiple ongoing projects.
The Packaging Designer will be supporting designs for sales agents along the east coast. Perm Hire role with an excellent organization with over 80 years in business.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills:
- Develop rapid packaging designs in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering specifications for quoting or production purposes.
- Hands-on experience with digital cutting tables and printers (e.g., Zünd, Kongsberg) to produce accurate prototypes and samples.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and various packaging materials (cardboard, plastics, etc.)
- Effectively manage lead times in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
- Innovate by thinking creatively and delivering visually appealing, practical solutions.
- Partner with design teams or client marketing teams to ensure alignment and success.

Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate specifications with international offices.
- Proficiency in Artios CAD or similar design software.
- Capable of managing projects from inception to completion, with flexibility to work overtime when needed.
- Reside in the Rhode Island or Southern Massachusetts area.
- Maintain a dedicated home office to support hybrid work and remain available for travel in the Northeast if needed.
- Familiarity with retailer environments such as Walmart, Target, Kohl's, Best Buy, and club stores.
