The Technical Product Specialist will provide technical support, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and solutions for piston pump products. This role works closely supporting sales, engineering, and customers to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and integration of piston pumps into hydraulic systems.
*Position is based in Fremont, NE. Travel to customer sites for trouble shooting and/or installation and machine start-ups required, up to 30%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for the company’s pump products, understanding all features, functionalities, and technical specifications.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers, assisting with product setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations for customers and partners, explaining the technical features and benefits of the product.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to align product requirements and feedback.
- Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with engineering teams to ensure a quick and effective resolution.
- Training & Documentation: Develop technical documentation, guides, and training materials to assist customers and internal teams. Train customers on how to use the product effectively.
- Feedback Loop: Collect feedback from customers on product performance and identify areas for improvement. Work with product teams to prioritize enhancements.
- Product Testing & Quality Assurance: Assist with testing new product features and versions, ensuring they meet customer requirements and technical standards.
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and technological developments to support product development and enhancements.
Education/Experience
All Hydraulic experience(s), training and education will be considered.
- Associates and/or bachelor’s degree(s) preferred.
- Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist Certification preferred.
- 2 years of experience in technical product support or product management role.
- Strong experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic principles, fluid mechanics, and piston pump technology.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools specific to hydraulic equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong telephone and email etiquette skills
- Previous experience with Epicor ERP (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers, coworkers, supervision, and management.
- Must be able to meet physical demands, with or without accommodation.
