Private New York City-based family seeks a proactive, responsible, organized and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to assist with the deep cleaning and maintenance of their NYC home, as well as assisting with the day-to-day needs of the family. The position is Live-Out and consists of 5 working days (roughly 9am to 5pm) per week, with a constant need for overriding flexibility as needed. This individual will act as a gatekeeper to the family's NYC home and will proactively keep the household running smoothly working alongside additional staff. The role requires the ideal candidate to be a motivated self-starter and possess a “no task is too big or small” attitude. Someone happy to manage vendors and identify household needs and issues. Driver's license a plus!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Serving as an all-around gatekeeper to the principals' home
- Personal shopping, laundress duties, meal prep, stock procurement, and running errands as needed
- Demonstrating a hands-on approach to daily house maintenance with the ability to assist the principals and fellow team members with hands-on tasks
- Ensuring the residence is in pristine guest-readiness condition at all times
- Willingness to accommodate last-minute requests as needed
- Overseeing all vendor relationships and managing the vendor visits
- Oversight of all deliveries and general maintenance of the residence; making client aware of any necessary repairs or purchases
- Overseeing and assisting with the proper care of fine art, furnishing, and wardrobe
- Any additional Executive Housekeeping duties as needed upon request
