Housekeeper

Job Description:

Private New York based family is seeking an experienced and hardworking Housekeeper to help manage their residence in Bridgehampton, New York. The ideal candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, have strong knowledge of deep cleaning services in addition to primary housekeeping duties, and have a proactive attitude toward keeping the home in pristine condition. Must be polished, professional, and extremely reliable, resourceful and have a sense of urgency. Candidate must have a “can-do” attitude with the ability to work independently, as well as with a team! This position consists of a full-time schedule, with overriding flexibility and availability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Requirements:

• Strong command of the English language; superb communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references from current and/or previous employers
• Minimum 3 years related experience working in private homes or high-end hotels
• Basic cooking skills – light cooking/meal prep as needed.
• Quiet and reserved in demeanor
• Flexibility in schedule
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
• Professional in both mindset and manor; utmost discretion at all times
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
• Legally able to work in the United States

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence
• Willingness to run errands such as doing laundry, dry cleaner, groceries etc.
• Procurement of household supplies and groceries
• Laundry duties such as changing of sheets and towels as needed, etc.
• Management and organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas
• Light meal preparation and assisting chef
• Additional Housekeeping duties as needed and requested
