Lovely Brooklyn based family seeks a warm, friendly, confident, and proactive live-out nanny to join their childcare team and provide care for their school-age child, offering some occasional help for an older and more independent child when needed. This position is 5 days a week, 40 hours and requires flexibility for extended hours, international travel, and weekend days with an opportunity to rotate weekends if preferred. There is flexibility with scheduling depending on candidate interest and availability. The ideal candidate is attentive, detail-oriented, caring, energetic, and adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the family and children. This position requires someone passionate about the care and upbringing of children, with an eye for their safety, education, and well-being. They should be communicative, adaptable, and easily able to follow the direction and instructions. Full health benefits and annual performance-based bonus is included, along with overtime pay.
Requirements :
- Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, with a background or education in childcare and / or education is a PLUS
- Ability to travel with the family as needed (including international trips), ensuring a smooth and secure experience for the children
- Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
- Must have exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities with prioritization and efficiency
- Positive, friendly, and professional in both mindset and manner with the utmost discretion at all times
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to adhere to children’s schedules and protocol as set by the family
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility in schedule with the willingness to work longer hours as needed
- Valid Driver’s License required; a confident driver
- Passport with the ability to travel internationally with the family, especially for longer periods of time
- Legally able to work in the United States
