Hire Up Staffing & Healthcare is looking for a Medical Assistant that is interested in joining a recognized healthcare company in Houston, TX.
Pay $17 / hr.-$21 / hr. (vary depending on experience)
Hours : M-F 8-5pm (must be flexible)
Responsibilities
Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
Escort patients to examination rooms
Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
Send out prescriptions and complete prior authorizations for prescriptions
May be required to float to other clinics as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent Back Office Medical Assistant experience.
Previous dermatology medical assisting experience strongly preferred.
Must have EMR / EHR experience; Strongly prefer someone with EMA EHR or eClinical Works.
Must have successfully completed a Medical Assisting program from an accredited university.
Nationally Certified / Registered MA strongly preferred. Must be willing to take the National Exam if not.
