Our client in Monroe, CT is looking for a nurturing, caring, and energetic Lead Early Education Teacher who has a genuine passion to work with children 5-years-old and younger. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable with diapering and toilet training.
- This is a Direct Hire position with the school
- Full-time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Salary
- $16.00 - $18.50/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- In addition, there is a quarterly bonus incentive up to $500 based on attendance and performance

Job Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- REQUIRED Education: High School diploma or GED
- PREFERRED Higher Education or Experience: 2 years of Lead Teacher experience in a licensed facility OR willing/able to complete a CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field within a year of hire date
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
