Our client is looking for an energetic, organized, and inspiring leader to join their premier preschool in East Windsor, NJ as Center Director. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who has extensive experience within a licensed preschool.
- This is a Direct Hire position with the school
- Monday - Friday; year-round employment
Compensation
- $55,000 - $65,000/year pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- Quarterly bonus potential based on multiple performance factors

Job Responsibilities
- Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and oversee all aspects of the preschool's daily operations including staffing and curriculum integrity
- New Jersey Licensing Compliance: ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and develop strong professional relationships with state licensing authorities; maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance; maintain a safe and clean environment for children and staff; stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting preschool education
- Operational Management: Manage classroom schedules and coordinate the management of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for classroom activities and operations
- Budget and Financial Management: Monitor expenditures and ensure that resources are used efficiently and within budget
- Marketing and Enrollment: Lead marketing efforts and community outreach to promote the preschool and attract new students; assist with enrollment processes, including tours, application reviews, and orientation for new families; ensure accurate and up-to-date enrollment records; maintain communication with prospective families
- Employee Success: nurture a positive workplace atmosphere; facilitate ongoing training, learning and growth among staff members; provide guidance to staff and direct reports, issuing written disciplinary notices when required; elevate unresolved employment issues or legal concerns to senior management when necessary
- Parent Communication: Foster positive relationships with parents and families, maintaining open and transparent communication channels
Qualifications
- Must either currently reside in New Jersey or have previous Early Childhood Education experience in New Jersey
- REQUIRED Education: Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or an education-related field
- REQUIRED Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of Early Childhood Education (birth to 5-years-old) leadership experience in a licensed facility with at least 100 enrolled students; titles can include Administrative Assistant, Program Coordinator, Program/Team Lead, Assistant Director, or Director
- Must have experience managing at least 20 employees in a licensed Early Education facility
- REQUIRED Teaching Experience: Must have classroom experience in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler classrooms, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
