About The Role
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company procedures. Your attention to detail and expertise in inspections will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards in aviation maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure repair station records, work orders, and forms are completed correctly before product release
- Prevent installation of defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts in maintained components
- Maintain and submit Service Difficulty Reports within designated timelines
- Complete and submit FAA Form 337s to the appropriate maintenance management
- Perform final acceptance of incoming materials, new parts, suppliers, and outsourced repairs
- Conduct airworthiness inspections for outsourced work
- Execute preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections on all processed articles
- Oversee tagging and identification of parts to ensure rejected or non-repairable items are properly quarantined and rendered unusable
- Complete tasks efficiently while adhering to established policies and procedures
- Conduct preliminary package reviews for outsourced maintenance
- Supervise the calibrated tooling program
- Ensure compliance with Required Inspection Item procedures and notify relevant managers upon completion
- Follow manufacturer maintenance manuals to ensure accurate inspections and servicing
- Perform inspections on maintenance, preventive maintenance, and aircraft alterations, ensuring industry standards are met
- Maintain familiarity with inspection techniques, tools, and processes to assess airworthiness
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a maintenance supervisor and/or inspector
- Strong knowledge of FAR regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends
- 2 years of experience with corporate aircraft, including Challenger 300, Phenom 300, King Air, and Citation X
- Inspection Authorization (IA) certification
- CFR 145 Repair Station experience
- Ability to lift and transport 70 pounds or more regularly
- Ability to bend, squat repeatedly, and stand for extended periods
