About The Role
As a Supervisor, Aircraft Materials, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining critical aircraft parts inventory, optimizing procurement, and ensuring timely delivery of components to support aviation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise materials personnel and daily stockroom operations, ensuring efficiency and responsiveness
- Maintain high service levels for internal and external customers regarding operational hours, inventory availability, and requests
- Oversee procurement of aircraft parts, components, and materials to support station operations
- Communicate and coordinate with Maintenance Control, Technicians, Planning teams, and Suppliers on parts orders, including tracking and delivery
- Update and maintain inventory tracking systems
- Maintain stockroom organization, ensuring adherence to high standards
- Conduct perpetual and scheduled cycle counts of inventory
- Oversee receiving, packaging, and timely shipment of parts and materials
- Perform receiving inspections on incoming inventory per company maintenance manuals
- Ensure efficient traffic management for shipments to meet destination timelines
- Identify, classify, and handle ITAR and hazardous material shipments in compliance with regulations
- Monitor and track exchange cores, ensuring prompt return to vendors
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of supervisory experience
- Strong communication (verbal, telephone, written), negotiation, and project management skills
- 5 years of industry experience
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in computer systems, including inventory tracking tools
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions with moderate noise level
- Ability to lift 70 lbs, bend, stand, and squat for extended periods
